Kiddo seems to think he's free to leave after the vice-captain's dismissal from practice. This is his next lesson. Socializing is the last thing he wants to do if his face is any indication, and that's really too bad for him. Marui lassos an arm loosely around his neck and grins devilishly at his sputtering wet cat reception to the contact.

"What? Don't look so put off. Jackal's treating us to burgers and shakes."

Jackal's head jerked into that direction. "Wait, why me?"

Akaya's did, too. At first, just because he expected to be included in 'us,' but secondly, he just wanted to stare down this new kid. Why was he invited? How'd he get Marui-senpai to play him anyway?

"Sh-shouldn't you ask Jackal-senpai before you say that?"

But that just made Jackal give him a sidelong look. Why hasn't that ever concerned you before, Akaya? Jackal pulls his watch out of his pocket to see how long he has until he's expected home, and figures it's okay, but at least Marui promised Akaya ramen...
